Charleston, WV Porch Collapse Leads to Multiple Injuries & Potential Premise Liability Claims

In a devastating accident on Monday night, several people were injured when a porch collapsed in the 1500 block of Jackson Street in Charleston, West Virginia. The collapse occurred during a vigil for a shooting victim, with witnesses reporting dozens of people present at the time.

Emergency responders arrived shortly before 9:30 PM and rescued two individuals trapped in the debris. At least six people were transported to the hospital, but the total number of injured and the extent of their injuries remain unknown.
