Best Hospitals in West Virginia and Region
Although West Virginia has nearly 70 hospitals, none are nationally ranked, according to U.S. News Best Hospitals 2014-2015 national rankings. However, three West Virginia hospitals do meet U.S. News standards for strong performance. They are listed below with links to more information about each hospital and their specialties:

- St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV is ranked #3 but only has 1 high-performing specialty.

The Best Hospitals Honor Roll highlights the top 17 hospitals in America, including four top hospitals within driving distance of West Virginia. They are Duke University Hospital, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which are ranked 14th and 12th respectively; and Cleveland Clinic and Johns Hopkins Hospital, which are ranked 4th and 3rd.
The National Rankings rate the top hospitals according to 15 different specialties. Cleveland Clinic ranks in the top 3 for many specialties.
