West Law Firm invites college students at accredited United States colleges to apply for its new Preparing West Virginia’s New Drivers: Building Safer Habits Behind the Wheel Scholarship. This scholarship promises $3,000 to a qualifying student who completes the scholarship form and essay by May 15, 2027.
Students from any major or area of study can apply. Preference will be given to students from West Virginia, but the scholarship remains open to students throughout the country.
Interested students can apply for the Preparing West Virginia’s New Drivers: Building Safer Habits Behind the Wheel Scholarship by completing a scholarship essay of less than 1,000 words discussing how factors such as distracted driving, changing road conditions, and inexperience can impact new drivers, as well as what strategies can help these drivers make safer decisions behind the wheel of a car.
Students involved in car accidents, know someone involved in an accident, or who’ve witnessed car accidents should share those experiences. These essays should be original and should not be written with AI.
Students can also complete the application form available on the scholarship page.
The scholarship selection committee with West Law Firm reserves up to three months after the May 15 deadline to read through applicants’ essays. Age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, and other protected classes will have no influence on the committee’s decision. Brooks West will select the final scholarship winner from the applicant pool.
