Roll-over accident on West Virginia I-77 Takes a Life and Scares Residents
A person lost their life in a single-vehicle roll-over accident near Kenna, West Virginia, at mile marker 123 on WV Interstate I-77, according to WSAZ News. This tragic accident happened between the Goldtown and Kenna exits on Monday, July 11, 2022, around 9:40 a.m.
According to the WV Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, this crash appears to be an accident and likely the result of driver error but is currently being investigated. This accident has some residents concerned about their safety while traveling that stretch of the interstate.
A lifelong county resident, Roy Davis, voiced concerns about the driving patterns of others and also has concerns regarding his grandson being a new driver. In a statement given to WSAZ, Mr. Davis stressed the importance of paying attention while driving and stated, “you gotta keep your eyes on the road, keep the eyes on the people, even in the other lane, sometimes you know they’ll right go and cross me again.” He also stated, “I’ve actually seen tires leave the ground people coming off here.”
